Albert Vera Jr. Honored at Sandy Segal Youth Health Center Fundraiser

Image is a picture of Albert Vera Jr.Martin Feinberg, Culver City Realtor, recognizes that Albert Vera Jr. will be honored at The Friends of the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center’s annual fundraiser on Saturday, March 9.  The event will be held at a private venue in Marina Del Rey.

Albert Vera Jr. is well known in the Culver City community for his dedicated support of many nonprofit organizations and agencies, including the Sandy Segal Youth Center.  These organizations benefit children and families in the Culver City Real Estate area and help make Culver City a safe and friendly place to live and work.

Albert Vera Jr. has carried on his family’s tradition of giving back to the community for years.  He is currently on the Civil Service Commission and before that served on the Landlord/Tenant Board. Mr. Vera is also a member of the Culver Palms YMCA Board of Managers, the Upward Bound House Board, and the Exchange Club.

The theme of the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center fundraiser this year is Come Sail Away.  Activities begin at 5:30 p.m. with appetizers, a silent auction, no host bar, and music by Ronnie Jayne. Dinner will then follow with music, a program, and a live auction. The cost of the event was $125 per person prior to February 26 but is $135 after the 26thor at the door. All proceeds go to the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center, which is located on the campus of the Culver City Middle and High School.

The Health Center is operated by the Venice Family Clinic and provides free physical and mental health care for Culver City students.  It offers many different services such as physicals, immunizations, vision and hearing testing, care for ongoing illnesses and conditions, prescription medications, as well as mental health counseling.  For more information about the Center visit http://www.sandysegalyouthhealthcenter.orgor email Sarah Carpenter at sarahssyhc@gmail.com
