West Basin Municipal Water District Begins new Change & Save Program

The point of Change and Save is to help participating residents reduce water consumption and also save money.  To help launch the new plan—and for a limited time—the Change & Save program is giving eligible residents free water savings device kits plus a $500 rebate for qualifying high-efficiency clothes washer.

West Basin, working in partnership with the South Bay Environmental Services Center, began scheduling appointments for the program’s in-home water surveys on February 11.  Once a resident has completed the survey they will receive their water savings kit.  Each kit contains a high-efficiency faucet aerator and shower head projected to produce a water savings of 2,000 gallons annually.

Participating residents can also apply for a $500 rebate for a qualifying high-efficiency clothes washer.

Gray, “We anticipate a high response to Change & Save due to the $500 rebate being the highest amount offered in the State of California for a program of its kind.  We encourage local residents to take advantage of this limited opportunity to conserve water using innovative water saving devices and high efficiency appliances, which could ultimately lower their water bills and save money.”

Local listing agent Martin Feinberg remind interested readers that the Change & Save device kits are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and that the in-home survey is required before they can be handed out.  Those interested should call the South Bay Environmental Services Center at (310) 371-4633, or can email contactus@change-save.com, to schedule an appointment..
