With five decades of performances under their belt, Westside Ballet of Santa Monica, is thrilled to announce that they are coming back with performances of the holiday favorite of many, “The Nutcracker.”
Also included in the performance will be live music by Santa Monica College Symphony Orchestra. As your Culver City Realtor servicing all your Culver City Real Estate needs, I urge you to buy tickets to this wonderful event, as you will not want to miss out (they sold out in 2013 and 2014).
The production will take place at the Santa Monica Performing Arts Center at the Broad Stage and will have nine shows beginning from November 28 through December. The address is 1310 11th St, Santa Monica.
“The Nutcracker” will showcase young dancers from The Westside School of Ballet in addition to renowned adult professional guest dancers as well. I am pleased to hear that our own local Culver City talent including Max, Maddie and Maise Vargas, Lynn Kataoka, Toscana Finke, and Chiara Davis will be apart of the production as well.
Also to note, the 2015 performances will include many new members from The Westside School of Ballet’s, Boys Division. They are proud to welcome a young male cast as well as children in the roles of mice, party children and soldiers.
There will be many unique effects during the performance as well. I am looking most forward to seeing the new 2015 choreography during the Snow Scene for the Snow Queen. Also, I hear there will be snow falling, a cannon firing and a Christmas tree that grows!
The Nutcracker, performed by Westside Ballet of Santa Monica’s will be a wonderful production for both adults and children to experience classical music and dance. Not to mention, it is a fantastic opportunity to hear Santa Monica College Symphony’s play Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score.
