Culver City’s Annual Fiesta La Ballona Coming in Late August

Mark your calendars for the annual Fiesta La Ballona to be held in Veterans Park this year on August 26-28, 2016.

Fiesta La Ballona

This fun community event takes place every year in Culver City at Veterans Park (4117 Overland Avenue) and this year’s event will have a variety of food trucks, beer and wine, live music, carnival rides, and more.

Around 30,000 people came out last year for the popular weekend event. The original Fiesta La Ballona began in 1951 and was a week-long celebration, commemorating the early settlers of the region and was named after La Ballona Creek nearby.

Festival attendees will find many family-friendly activities, including rides, roving performers and a weekend dance party. There will be plenty of dining choices and adults can enjoy a visit to the beer and wine garden as well.

Local organizations and artisanal products will also be showcased. As a local Culver City realtor,  I look forward to attending the event myself and seeing people I’ve worked with in the community.

La Ballona Fiesta hours:

Friday, 8/26 4:30pm to 10pm (rides start at 6pm)

Saturday, 8/27 11am to 10pm

Sunday, 8/28 11am to 9pm

Admission and parking are free. The fiesta is an eco-friendly and zero waste event that promotes recycling.

Volunteers and the Fiesta La Ballona Committee organize and produce the event, along with the support from Culver City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department. Many local sponsors also help fund and support the fiesta. Sponsorship opportunities may still be available — call 310-253-6667 or contact fiesta.laballona@culvercity.org.
