Westfield Mall Culver City Offers Christmas Events throughout December

Image is of a Christmas ornament against a backdrop of snow and pine. The first of December is just around the corner, and Martin Feinberg, Realtor, has noticed that the Christmas season in Culver City is already in full swing. Along those lines, the Westfield Mall in Culver City is helping the holidays be “merry and bright” by hosting a variety of Christmas events during December to help shoppers get into the spirit of the season and to keep kids entertained at the same time.

On Saturday December 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Westfield Mall is holding “Operation: Santa Salute” in the Center Court. According to the Westfield Mall website, this event is meant to be, “a day of appreciation for our active Military and Veteran Families.” Local active military families can visit Santa and receive one free 5×7 photo and digital download. A valid Military/Veteran ID Card is required. Those who are not active military can also visit Santa during this time, and donate a photo to gift towards a Military family later.

The public is also invited to show support to local Veterans and Active Military families by sending a special video or writing a card (compliments of Hallmark), which will be mailed by the “For the Troops” program. There will also be samples from some mall retailers as well as entertainment.

On Saturday December 9 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. the Westfield Mall will be holding “Santa StoryTime.” Participants will be able to enjoy a warm cup of Hot Cocoa (courtesy of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf) or a sample from DAVIDsTEA while listening to holiday stories read by Santa himself. There will be a Holiday Craft Station for those who like to keep their hands busy while they listen. Cost is $5 a child, with all proceeds going towards St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Purchase tickets here.

Lastly, on Sunday December 10 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. the Westfield Mall will be holding a “Build a Reindeer with Santa” Build-A-Bear Workshop. Participants will be able to “create their very own reindeer friend.” Cost is $15 per reindeer and includes the stuffed animal, treats, and a visit from Santa. All proceeds again benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Purchase tickets here.

Martin Feinberg, Culver City Realtor looks forward to seeing what other holiday celebrations will be held within the Culver City Real Estate area this season.
