This Sunday April 2nd, The Help Group is holding its 7th annual Special Needs Resource Fair. The event takes place from 11 am to 3 pm at the Autism Center located at 13164 Burbank Blvd in Sherman Oaks.
The Help Group was founded in 1975 and is the largest non-profit of its kind in the United States. It serves children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, emotional problems, and more. The organization offers innovative and comprehensive help for children and families dealing with such issues.
In Culver City, the group has six schools focusing on special need children. They offer options dedicated to preschoolers through young adults, including college prep. Martin Feinberg, Realtor, is pleased that Culver City Real Estate offers families access to The Help Group’s many resources.
Sunday’s event will feature vendors demonstrating many different programs, products, and services, including information on schools and camps, medical services, educational support, financial planning, respite services, and many others. There will also be fun family activities for younger participants to engage in. The event is billed as “an opportunity for parents and professionals to discover the wonderful resources that Los Angeles has to offer its Special Needs Community.”
The Resource Fair is free and Martin Feinberg, Culver City Realtor, hopes that many people will take advantage of all it has to offer. For more information contact Tracy Peters at 310-751-1486 or tpeters@thehelpgroup.org.
