It takes a lot of money for a school to run a good athletics program, and many schools rely on fundraising to help offset costs. Because of Culver City’s relatively smaller size, it also relies on sponsors to help keep their athletic program competitive. Martin Feinberg, Culver City Realtor, has always been impressed with how the Culver City community and surrounding businesses have supported the local schools. Culver City sponsors make all the difference.
This year, local realtor Michael Morabito of The Agency has purchased the largest sponsorship in Culver City football history. He will now be Culver City’s first official sponsor to have his name and company on the football scoreboard all year long.
Culver City Honda is also sponsoring the Culver City Centaur football program for the upcoming year. Culver City Honda has donated $2,000 and will also be displaying one of its cars at a home game.
Sees Candies is one of Culver City sponsors the Centaurs have been depending on for the last ten years. They have consistently donated to the athletics program for over ten years. Also in that ten year sponsor club is Sal Gonzalez of Culver City Volvo.
The Centaur’s have also gotten some new sponsors this year. Fawad Ursani of 7-Eleven is donating both time and money to the school this season. Grey Block Pizza donated the Culver City baseball scoreboard.
Many other local businessmen and women have been added to the major sponsorship level ($500 or more) this year, including Blue Screen Gaming, Amitai, Heather Coombs-Perez, Art Perez, Dannie Cavanaugh, David Bass, Michelle Maher Ford, Robert Ford, and Lauren Reynolds. Many are Culver City alumni themselves and are excited to be able to support their former school. Kevin Ross is a local sponsor who’s son, Charlie Ross, is a football player.
The Police Officers Association and the Firefighters Association are also major sponsors of the Culver City Centaurs, along with Sandy Segal Health Center and the Culver City Education Foundation.
The Culver City Centaur’s Football Team understands how much they have to be grateful for Culver City sponsors.
“The football program would also like to thank Titos Tacos, Campos Burritos, Tub’s Chili, and Flavor Table for continuing to feed our hungry football players during the upcoming two-a-day practices. Of course, we want to thank all of the other generous sponsors too numerous to mention, but would encourage you to come out to a football game and buy a program and patronize their establishments. Culver City football program is on a mission to win its third league title in a row and first CIF championship since 1978.”
Martin Feinberg, Realtor, would also like to thank local sponsors and volunteers for helping to make Culver City schools, and Culver City Realty, a great place to live and work.
