Councilman Jim B. Clarke will be honored be the Friends of the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center at their annual fundraiser. The event will take place tomorrow, February 24, at a private location in Marina Del Rey.
Martin Feinberg, Culver City Realtor, is interested to see that the theme for this year’s event is “Let Their Dreams Sail.”
According to a Center Rep, “Mr. Clarke’s dedicated support and advocacy of the Health Center helps make it possible to meet the goals of maintaining and improving the health of Culver City students.”
Jim B. Clarke has been active part of the Culver City Real Estate area for many years. He has been on the Culver City City Council since 2012 and served as Mayor of Culver City from 2016-2017. Clarke was also the founder and president of the Culver City Centennial Celebration Committee. The Committee helped organize many special events last year in celebration of Culver City’s 100th anniversary.
The Sandy Segal Youth Health Center—located on the Culver City Middle and High School campus—is operated by the Venice Family Clinic and provides free health care for Culver City Students. It offers a variety of services such as physicals, immunizations, vision and hearing tests, care for ongoing illnesses and conditions, and prescription medications. Mental health counseling is also provided by the Los Angeles Child Development Center.
The Friends of Sandy Segal Youth Health Center Fundraiser will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday with appetizers, a silent auction, no-host bar, and music by Ronnie Jayne. Dinner will follow with more music, a program, and a live auction.
Martin Feinberg, Realtor, notes that the cost to attend the event is $100 per person prior to February 16 or $110 at the door. All proceeds go to the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center.
