Big Daddy’s Antiques does Culver City Proud

Their mix of vintage items with diverse design helps to bring in high-profile clients such as Bruno Mars, Harry Styles, and even a Kardashian or two.

Martin Feinberg, Culver City Realtor, could not have guessed how far the brand would come from its humble beginnings renting a small retail space in a mall in the Culver City Real Estate area.  However, thanks to founder Shane Brown’s eye for eclectic furnishings and a 15-year friendship with members of Pottery Barn’s product development team, the brand has thrived.

According to Brown, “you never know who is going to walk in.” Brown launched the store back in 2002, focusing on high-end one-of-a-kind merchandise like Louis Vuitton trunks, as well as stranger items such as pieces from a wax museum.

Co-owner Kristine Brown admits, “We really try to be cutting-edge, but it has to have a feeling that is comfortable. Our biggest goal is for somebody to walk into our warehouse and say, ‘Oh, my God. I want to live here.’” Shane added, “It’s the Big Daddy look. It’s antique with modern and a twist of vintage.”

Martin Feinberg, Realtor, reminds readers that Big Daddy’s Antiques has other locations in San Francisco, Houston, Seattle and Aspen as well, for those who can’t make the trip to their Culver City store or might not want to fight the reality TV crowds.
