Carlson Park
The Carlson Park neighborhood of Culver City is bordered by Overland on the West, Culver on the North and Ballona Creek on the South. The neighborhood to the east is the Nolan neighborhood. Carlson Park is located in the center of the neighborhood and features a large grassy area with mature trees and picnic area. The Carlson Park neighborhood was a race track prior to a residential development which is reflected in the “racetrack shape” of the neighborhood. Some residents have found pieces of the old grandstands in their yards over the years. The streets that make up the Carlson Park neighborhood are Keystone, Mentone, LeBourget, Motor, Vinton and Jasmine. Keystone residents utilize the Farragut grammar school while all the other streets utilize Linwood Howe Elementary. Carlson Park has approximately 650 homes with all being single family homes except for a block and a half of R-2 zoned properties (duplexes) on Jasmine.
