Studio Estates
The Studio Estates neighborhood of Culver City was formally part of MGM Studios and was developed into a housing tract by Goldrich Kest in the late 1970’s into the early 1980’s. There were about 5 phases in which approximately 6 floor plans were built and sold. The neighborhood is surrounded by landscaped walls and is bordered by Elenda Street, Culver Boulevard and Overland Ave. Immediately to the east of Studio Estates is the Culver City Senior Center, and right across the street is Veteran’s Memorial Park with tennis courts, basketball court, teen center, outdoor plunge (pool) and children’s playground. A few block away are the Culver City Middle School and High School, and the local elementary school, La Ballona, is also a few blocks away. There’s two floor plans that are single story and four floor plans with two stories. The streets are names after the MGM icons…Hepburn, Garland, Astaire, Coogan and others. Mostly cul de sacs, the streets are quiet and low traffic with only two access points for the neighborhood…one from Elenda and the other from Washington Bl.
