Culver Blvd Realignment & Urban Stormwater Project set to Begin

Image is a road construction warning sign.In January of 2019 the Culver City Council approved the final plans for the Culver Blvd Realignment & Urban Stormwater Project.  Local listing agent Martin Feinberg was interested to learn that construction on the project is finally set to begin next week on February 17.  Ortiz Enterprises Inc. was awarded the contract to do the work.

The project entails the reconstruction of Culver Blvd. between Sepulveda Blvd. and Elenda Street, along with the parkway median. It is expected to take 18 months to complete.

According to the Culver City website, construction on the Culver Blvd Realignment & Urban Stormwater Project will fall into four phases, tentatively scheduled as follows:

Image is a yellow road sign that says "road work."Martin Feinberg, Realtor, notes that work hours for the project will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Construction activities will also result in extended lane closures along Culver Blvd. in both directions.  Curbside parking will also be impacted, with traffic delays likely.
