Culver City Symphony Orchestra Performs in March

The Culver City Symphony Orchestra is presenting its next concert on Sunday March 5th at 4:30PM. The presentation will take place at Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium, 4117 Overland Ave., in Culver City.

The performance is titled Finding Space and will explore how we each try to make space for music in our lives. “We look for our living space, our space in society, our personal space, our workspace. Music fills empty spaces, in rehearsal rooms and concert halls. Music fills the spaces in our hearts and minds. Orchestras fill spaces in our cultural lives. Young musicians carve out their new spaces.” Martin Feinberg, Realtor, agrees that making space for music is important.

Sunday’s concert will feature Culver City Symphony Orchestra Conductor Frank Fetta and violinist Aubree Oliverson. The program will focus on “works from composers who filled spaces in society with their works which confronted society” and will go as follows-

Mozart: Don Giovanni, Overture (1787)

Mendelssohn: Violin Concerto (1844)

Wagner: Sigfried Idyll (1870)

Prokofiev: Classical Symphony (1917)

General Admission tickets are $15, ages 13-17 are $10, and ages 6-12 are free. Members of the SoCal Symphony Society receive two free tickets. All tickets are available at the Box Office one hour before the concert begins or can be purchased online at info@culvercitysymphony.org. Free parking is available in lots along Culver Boulevard and metered parking along Overland Ave.

The performance is made possible in part through a grant from the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. Martin Feinberg, Culver City Realtor, hopes that people will help support the Culver City Symphony by taking advantage of this opportunity. Culver City Real Estate is a great place to look for a home because of community events such as this.
