Free Summer Lunch Program Offered by CCUSD this June and July

Image is of a girl at a park eating a snack. Most kids look forward to the summer months, when school responsibilities are replaced with laid-back schedules, swimming pools, and popsicles.  Martin Feinberg, Realtor, knows that for some kids however, summer means access to less food and isolation from friends and peers.  For this reason the Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD) has created a summer lunch program for students under 18 to help them stay healthy, connected, and fed during the summer months.

The program, known as the Free Summer Lunch and More Program will take place in June and July within the Culver City Real Estate area.  Children will be served on a ‘first come, first served’ basis so getting to the event on time could be critical.  Each meeting includes free lunch as well as activities and games.

Sixth Annual Free Summer Lunch Program and More Details:

Summer activities will include visits from the Culver City Police Department’s K9 Unit, the Culver City Fire Department, and the California Dairy Council.  There will also be arts and crafts opportunities and playground access. All food must be eaten on-site.

Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.) should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits.

Local listing agent Martin Feinberg encourages all residents to call (310) 849-1731 for more information.
